The coastal strip benefits from consistent sea breezes that moderate summer temperatures, but humidity levels remain high from October through April. The hinterland areas experience slightly cooler temperatures, particularly overnight during winter, when Maleny and Montville can record temperatures in the low single digits. These conditions are well within the operating range of all lift types, though properties at higher elevations may benefit from cold-start provisions for hydraulic systems during the coolest winter mornings.
Salt exposure is a primary concern for beachfront installations from Caloundra through to Noosa. Properties within 500 metres of the coast should specify all exposed components in marine-grade materials. The hinterland, being well inland and elevated, does not face salt-air issues, and standard finishes are appropriate for installations in these areas.
