How we gather, handle, and safeguard your personal data.

Last updated: March 2026

1. About Us

HomeLift Finder (homeliftfinder.com.au) is operated by Swag & Media Performance Group Pty Ltd (ABN 31 691 487 671), trading as HomeLift Finder. Throughout this Privacy Policy, "we", "us", and "our" refer to Swag & Media Performance Group Pty Ltd.

We take the protection of your personal data seriously and comply with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

2. Information We Gather

When you interact with our website or services, we may gather the following personal data:

  • Contact details: your name, email address, phone number, and postcode
  • Preference and quiz responses: your selections in our lift matching quiz, covering property type, storey count, lift type preferences, accessibility needs, budget range, and project timeline
  • Usage data: browser type, device details, pages viewed, and behavioural data captured through cookies and analytics platforms
  • Correspondence: any messages or enquiries you submit to us

We do not gather sensitive information (such as medical details) beyond what you voluntarily share through the quiz or contact forms. Where you disclose mobility or health-related requirements, we handle this data with heightened care.

3. Purpose of Collection

We gather your personal data for these specific purposes:

  • To connect you with appropriate home lift installers based on your needs, location, and stated preferences
  • To forward your enquiry details to matched installers so they can reach out with tailored quotes
  • To deliver indicative pricing data and comparison information
  • To enhance our website, offerings, and overall user experience
  • To correspond with you regarding your enquiry or our services
  • To meet our legal and regulatory obligations

4. How Your Data Is Shared

Connecting you with home lift installers is the primary function of our platform. By submitting a quote request or completing our quiz, you consent to us sharing your contact details and quiz responses with matched home lift installers so they can provide quotes and product information.

Installer Matching

HomeLift Finder operates as an installer matching and comparison service. When you lodge an enquiry, your details become accessible to our network of vetted home lift installers. Your personal contact details (name, email, phone) are only disclosed to an installer after they opt in to respond to your specific enquiry. Installers first receive general enquiry data (such as location, lift category, and project details) to assess relevance before gaining access to your contact information.

We may additionally share your data with:

  • Home lift installers: matched installers who align with your requirements, as outlined above
  • Technology and service partners: third-party companies that support our platform operations, including hosting providers, analytics platforms, email delivery services, and payment processors
  • Legal obligations: where mandated by law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable government request

5. Data Storage and Security

We implement reasonable measures to protect your personal data from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification, and disclosure. Our security practices include:

  • SSL/TLS encryption for all data transmitted through our website
  • Cloud-hosted storage with strict access controls
  • Staff access to personal data restricted to a need-to-know basis
  • Periodic audits of our data handling procedures

Personal contact details (name, email, phone) are automatically purged from our systems after 14 days. Your enquiry is retained temporarily to support installer matching and is not stored long-term.

Your data is primarily held on servers within Australia. Where data is transferred to servers overseas (for instance, via our hosting or analytics providers), we ensure suitable safeguards are in place consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.

6. Your Privacy Rights

Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988, you are entitled to:

  • Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correction: ask us to correct any inaccurate, outdated, incomplete, or misleading data
  • Erasure: request deletion of your personal data, subject to any legal retention obligations
  • Complaints: file a complaint if you believe we have contravened the Australian Privacy Principles

To exercise any of these rights, please reach out using the contact details in Section 10. We will address your request within 30 days.

Should you remain dissatisfied with our response to a privacy complaint, you may escalate the matter to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
